fastFrac uses native
OASIS constructs in an innovative way to accelerate the
process of fracturing polygons. fastFrac accepts native
OASIS as well as GDSII files as input. It leverages off
of existing fracturing capability already in
the flow.
fastFrac integrates
transparently and easily. The final output from fastFrac
maintains the hierarchy of the original file. Reading,
pruning and writing to and from the fracture tool is
very fast.
On typical rule-based OPC
layers, FF can give from 10-50X improvement in fracture
time. On model-based OPC layers, it can be from 5X to
10X speed-up. The technology can easily be integrated
into an existing MDP flow or can be integrated as an OEM
package into MDP/EDA tools. The technology can be used
as a reference implementation for developers building
accelerated fracture capability.
